I have had such a crazy past 2 weeks. I was booked for a big Ad job and the stress of that was too much. But now I'm back and I have so much great stuff to work on with my blog. When I was shooting in LA I got this swanky hotel room for a day. The bathroom was bigger then most New York apartments. There was a pool on the roof which I sat by till my girls Jelena and Renee came to shoot. It was such an LA day, catching some sun, had a celeb siting and then went down stairs to shoot naked ladies.

I have shot Jelena before and love working with her, and Renee was brand new and way to cute. The shower I shot them in could have fit 2 more girls and there were mirrors everywhere. What a fun day with 2 beautiful ladies.

So over the weekend I was at a wedding and missed my blogs 1 year anniversary. I have had my little blog for 1 year on May 17th, so thanks to all of you who have looked and supported over that past year!!!!

Plus, when I was in SF I photographed Madison Young. Not only is this girl amazing to talk to about art, but she is the first person I have seen up close who has had red pubes. I'm back from SF and LA, where I had some great shoots for my blog and the opening at Femina Potens went awesome. Here are some pics from the opening and you can also go to their site if you're interested in buying a signed print by me. Hey everybody, so when I was up north in San Francisco I had no internet on my computer, and now that I'm down in LA, I still don't have internet on my computer. Delight in erotic photographs by Ellen Stagg, red-hot paintings by Suzanne M. Shifflett, lustful illustration by Cristy C. Road, and staggeringly amazing performance art by Twincest. Femina Potens' streetside windows will be transformed via a provocative installation by Chrystal Powell as part of the "Outside Looking In" public arts program, sponsored by the San Francisco Arts Commission.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday May 3, 2008, 7–10pm

Ellen Stagg fell in love with photography at 16. She moved to NYC from Easton, CT in 1996 to get her BFA in photography at the School of Visual Arts. In her junior year of college, she got signed with her first photography agent and stayed with them for 5 years. Two and a half years ago, Stagg began shooting more and more porn, fetish and glamour models as part of her work for staggstreet.com. Soon, she found that she had a collection of images that were too artsy for porn mags and too porny for places like Nerve.com. At the suggestion of a friend, she started a blog and was quickly noticed by the likes of Fleshbot, Complex Magazines blog, and more, catapulting her page visitors from a couple hundred a day to thousands. She continues to do commercial work of advertising, fashion and celebrities and is eager to continue working on her staggstreet.com images, with plans for photo books, gallery shows and a documentary.

Suzanne M. Shifflett was born in 1965, and grew up in Belfast Maine. Her earliest memory is of drawing with a crayon in front of the TV. She attended art school at Parson in Manhattan and Portland School of Art in Maine. In 1988, after art school, Suzanne moved to the west coast. She got a job in the Haight Ashbury district painting designs on the back of leather jackets. Shortly after she met tattooist Wayne Bruce Lee, who taught her the basics of tattooing. In 1995 Suzanne move to Portland Oregon to tattoo full time at Infinity Tattoo. In 1997 she opened her own Tattoo/art gallery called Medusa Tattoo and Gallery. Six years later Ms. Shifflett closed up shop to check out a few other cities. After time spent in Los Angeles, New Orleans and London, she ended up back in San Francisco. You can now find Suzanne painting as well as tattooing in her own shop called Modern Electric Studio, in the Mission district of San Francisco. Check out more of her work at Suzanne's site.

Cristy C. Road has been illustrating ideas, people, and places ever since she learned how to hold a crayon. Blending social principles, sexual curiousity, mental inadequacies, and dirty thoughts, Road thrives to testify the beauty of the imperfect. Her repertoire consists of over ten years of independent publishing, an illustrated novel entitled Indestructible, and countless illustrations for magazines, record album art, and political organizations. She lives in Brooklyn and is working on Bad Habits, an illustrated novel set to be released in the Fall on Soft Skull Press.Cristy's site.

Twincest is the brilliantly frightening collaboration of maverick artists Shawn Tamaribuchi and Jez Lee, who share similar backgrounds as well as a love for eccentric performance art. Their work has been defined as everything from sexual liberationist performance to that which defies expectation and cliche. They have been known to screen their home sex tapes, play with glitter and cat shit, regurgitate bacon, masturbate with hacksaws, wet themselves on stage, and drink each other's blood. As one reviewer put it, "their art is a peculiar mix of dance, naked performance, and celebration of the body and its fluids -- and it kind of makes you feel like they are going to kidnap you, mess you up real good and blow your mind. We're happy to come along for the ride."Twincest

Chrystal Powell received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fine art/sculpture from the Academy of Art University in 2006 . She co-coordinated a group installation show at Balazo Gallery in 2007, and has been a part of group exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center, the Egg Gallery, and showcased wearable metal sculpture at the Macy's Passport runway show in 2007. Recently, she attended an artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center and currently is working on a body of installation works and wearable metal sculpture pieces from her studio in the Mission district.

The show runs from Saturday, May 3, 2008 til Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Hey friends and fans, so I'm going on vacation tomorrow for 2 weeks. I'm heading to Thailand. I'm going to being taking tons of pics there, however I have no idea if I can update the old blog. So please check out the archives and I'll have some great images back up towards the end of the month.

Plus, if you are at South by South West Festival and you wanna check out a great new film, "Nights and Weekends" by Joe Swanberg & Greta Gerwig, I highly suggest it. One: it is amazing film about a long distance relationship, and two: I have a cameo in it and I shot the poster. My acting debut. Ha ha ha!!! I play a photographer. I had to do a ton of studying and method acting for this roll, but all the hard work paid off. (Just kidding) Actually, Joe found me through this blog.

Krista and Bad Biology

I went to a premiere on friday night for Bad Biology. This movie was amazing!!! Not only did it have 2 of my favorite models in it, Jelena Jensen and Krista Ayne (pictured below) looking beautiful, but it was about a women with 7 clits and a man with a monster penis. I really hope all you can see this movie soon. It was made by R.A. the Ruggedman and Frank Henenlotter and was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. It was like John Waters on evil viagra.

My work, my life and the people who come in out of it

I had a crazy day yesterday. And this blog is not about me or my feelings, it is about my photography and my work. So to talk about my photography in the context of my day, I realize there are going to be plenty of people out there who will really enjoy my work and others who can't handle it. This blog and the way I'm expressing my art thru my camera is going to make some people in my life no longer want to be in my life.

When I realize these people aren't the right people for my work and for the growth of where I'm going with it in my life it is sad, but not for my path. I have met so many amazing people thru this blog that support me and my vision. I have now totally learned the way of "going to where it is warm". Warmth isn't in the people who say they will be with you, it is is the ones who will show you they will be. Actions always speak louder then words.

I have to keep creating this work and feel happy about it. And the people who can't handle it will just end up falling off to the sides. Because if I attract 20 people who support me for every 1 who doesn't it is going to be worth it.

Thank you to my true friends and fans, you mean the most to me.

Stagg Perfume: Sexy images now have a smell.

I have been wearing the same mixed oil for 4 years now and I always get tons of complements on my smell. I mixed it myself in my kitchen from essential oils that I really like their smells and what their aromatherapy properties mean.

A couple months ago I had the owner at TG170 asked if I would ever be interested in selling it at her store. And after doing some research on how to bottle it, I decided to do it. How often do you get a perfume named after you?

So I introduce you to Stagg™. It is Feminine Oil that promotes Magnetism, Devotion and Love. It will be sold in 15ml glass bottles exclusively at TG170 and my Stagg Street Shop.

Siege aka Clayton Cubitt has described my scent as-

"She smells fucking great. When I hang out with her, I smell like her
for hours, like a little creamy cloud is hanging around me, and even
the stink of NYC can't knock it away. She mixes the scent custom for
herself, using special oils she buys just for this. Seriously. That's
the kind of thing fucking Cleopatra would do.

Each scent she uses in the mix has a specific intended effect, like
attracting people, comforting them, inciting passion. She's
researched this. I don't know if she anticipated attracting a white
trash pervert like myself, but I suppose no scent is perfect.

I can't forget how she smells, but I can't really describe it to you.
In fact, I made a trip all the way across town in the rain in order
to smell her so I could describe it, but it's useless. It's magnolia,
and citrus, and a slight musk. It's got an incense flavor, with a
peach undercurrent.

Fuck. I can't describe it, you'll just have to sniff her yourself."
